Questions
- Is the free check the same engine as the report?
- Yes. The report runs the same checks on more pages, includes every finding with its fix rather than the first few, and comes as a file you can hand to a developer or keep as evidence.
- Does a clean report mean the site meets WCAG?
- No. Automated testing catches roughly a third of WCAG failures. A clean automated result is good evidence, not a claim of conformance, and no report here is a certificate.
- What is a best-practice note?
- Something worth fixing that WCAG does not literally fail a page for on its own: heading order, landmarks, vague link text, a positive tabindex. They are listed separately so the failure count only holds what a conformance claim turns on.
- Which pages does the report choose?
- The address you give, then up to four more found from it, preferring the pages a visitor would reach first.
- Can you check a site that is not public yet?
- No. The free check and the report reach public addresses only.
